Jesus Impact (JI) Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (together with our Terms of Use) explains how we use any personal information about you that is collected or generated through your use of:

In these Terms, we refer to our Site, Apps and Jesus Impact (and the services available from any of them) collectively as “Jesus Impact or JI”.
This is the Privacy Policy governing your use of the JI. By using this platform, you approve and agree to our Privacy Policy stated below. The main purpose of the services that “JI” provides you with a platform to interact and socialize with fellow Christians around the world; sharing Biblical inspired and inspirational content. Jesus Impact app requires the user’s information that we gather, process, use and distribute which you provide directly by filling out various forms and formats; e.g. Your full name, contact information, profile picture, country etc.
1. The Information's We Collect from you
We may collect and process the following data about you:

Identity Data: The identity and contact details you give us when you register to use Jesus Impact, when you report a problem with or have a question about Jesus Impact, or contact us in relation to your attendance at a Jesus Impact connect groups meet-ups. The basic information that you must give us in order to open a Jesus Impact account on the App(s) is your email address, name, username and password. We will also request your email address and password each time you access the Apps; and you will need to activate your account (an email confirmation will be sent to every registered user)

Profile Name: Your chosen profile name and username will be used to identify you in the context of the App(s) and your use of Jesus Impact.

Location Data: We may collect the IP address that you use to connect to the App(s) or Site, and (where activated and you have agreed to this on your mobile device) your location information from your mobile device.

Profile and Usage Data: This includes information about users; username, bio, location, telephone number, date of birth, gender, profile image choice.

Your Content: The App(s) offer features which allows you to input and store your thoughts, ideas, emotions and other notes in a general posting area (home) and connect groups. The App(s) also allows users to private message users as well. As additional features are introduced to Jesus Impact, you may also be able to input on other user generated content; share, comment. Users can report inappropriate content as well. Jesus Impact is a “User Generated Content” platform.

Feedback Data: If you contact us to provide feedback or with any queries, we will keep a record of that correspondence and this will be attended to. Users can do this through the admin email address information on the App(s).

Device Data: With regard to your use of the Apps or Site we will automatically collect information about your mobile device, including, where available, your device ID, and operating system, for system administration and to analyse statistical data about our users’ actions and patterns. Device Data may be collected by cookies.

Marketing and communications data: This includes your preferences for receiving marketing from us.
If you attend a Jesus Impact Connect Group event, the personal information we hold about you includes the information listed above, as well as any additional information you voluntarily give out. We may also photograph and/or film Jesus Impact events. Attendees may be requested to sign an image release form, in relation to our use of your image.
We also collect, use and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for our legitimate traction and progress interest on reach and development. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing Jesus Impact App feature. However, if we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Information
We use information held about you in the following ways:
Identity Data
For the provision of Jesus Impact App(s), the Site and the services available from them to you and to provide you with the information that you request from us through the Apps or Site together with customer support. Our legal basis for using your information in this manner is the agreed acceptance to using the App and efficiency in usability/ functionality of the platform serving users.
Notifying you about changes to the Jesus Impact platform’s Terms of Use or Privacy Policy. Our legal basis for using your information in this manner is the agreed acceptance to using the App and efficiency in usability/ functionality of the platform serving users.
To manage and run Jesus Impact App(s) Connect Groups in which you are part of. Our use of your identity data for these purposes is on the basis of your consent (which may have been given to us).
To organise, run and invite you to Jesus Impact events, inform you about new features, updates, content in our social media channels and blog.
You can opt out of receiving these communications from us by updating your communications preferences by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any email that we send to you.
Your Content
Any User Generated Content (UGC) which you input to enable you to interact with other Jesus Impact users is collected and posted in users desired area on the App. UGC can be commented on by other users. There are two Connect Groups (closed and open connect groups). The closed connect groups, only users in this group can develop and interact with UGC, while the public groups any user can interact with UGC.
We will not review your User Generated Content unless it is relevant to an issue that we are investigating as a result of violating JI’s App guide and rules. You agree that we may access and use your User Generated Content for this purpose. We reserve the right, without obligation, to edit or remove any User Generated Content as a result of such investigation or in the event of a breach of our Terms of Use.
Profile and Usage Data
Collecting and profiling your Profile and Usage Data, to improve your user experience. Our legal basis for using your information in this manner is the agreed acceptance to using the App and efficiency in usability/ functionality of the platform serving users.
Ensuring that content from the Apps or Site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device. Our legal basis for using your information in this manner is the agreed acceptance to using the App and efficiency in usability/ functionality of the platform serving users.
Suggesting content and activities for you to try on Jesus Impact based on your previous uses of Jesus Impact, either through push notifications to your device, or emails sent to your registered email address. Our legal basis for using your information in this manner is the agreed acceptance to using the App and efficiency in usability/ functionality of the platform serving users.
Feedback Data, Device Data and Profile & Usage Data
Asking you to provide feedback, leave a review or take a survey. Our legal basis for using your information in this manner is that it is necessary for our legitimate interests of studying how customers view and use the App(s) for the purpose of our future development of JI.
Ensuring that content from the Apps is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device. Our legal basis for using your information in this manner is the agreed acceptance to using the App and efficiency in usability/ functionality of the platform serving users.
For analysis and statistical purposes. Our legal basis for using your information in this manner is that it is necessary for our legitimate interests of studying how customers view and use our App(s) and of further developing JI.
To administer the Apps and Site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes and as part of our efforts to keep the Apps and Site safe and secure. Our legal basis for using your information in this manner is that it is necessary for our legitimate interests of studying how customers view and use our App(s) and of further developing JI.
Marketing and Communications Data
Communications Data. Notifying you about new JI features or services that are available to you, changes to JI features or services or tips on how to use JI by sending emails or push notifications to you. Organizing, running and inviting you to JI events.
Marketing. Where you (i) contact us on behalf of an organisation; (ii) are an individual who has requested information from us; or (iii) have consented to us using your personal data for marketing purposes, we may use your information to send you updates and news concerning JI, which we feel may be of interest to you. If at any time you wish us to stop using your information for these purposes, please notify us using the contact information set out above. We will never send communications to you that market, or advertise within the Apps the products or services of another company, and we will never allow anyone else to use your information for marketing their products and services to you.
Managing Your Preferences. You can choose to stop receiving communications and marketing from us by email at any time by emailing us or by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any email that we send to you. You can manage push notifications in the settings in your device settings.
3. Disclosure of Information
Records of complaints and any penalties, proceedings or actions against Members and also reserve the right to disclose your Collected Information to relevant authorities where we have reason to believe that such disclosure is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who be infringing or threatening to infringe, or who otherwise be causing injury to or interference with, the title, rights, interests or property of Jesus Impact App, our users, customers, partners, other users (including web site users) or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities. We also reserve the right to disclose Collected Information in response to a subpoena or other judicial order or when we reasonably believe that such disclosure is required by law, regulation or administrative order of any court, governmental or regulatory authority. If we have reason to believe that a User is in breach of the Terms of User Agreement or any other agreement with us, then we reserve the right to make public or otherwise disclose such User's Collected Information in order to pursue our claim or prevent further injury to Jesus Impact or others.
4. Cookies
We use "cookies" to store specific information about you and track your visits to our platform. It is not uncommon for web sites to use cookies to enhance the identification of their users. A "cookie" is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser and stored on your computer's hard drive. A cookie can be sent to your computer's hard drive only if you access our Site using the computer. If you do not de-activate or erase the cookie, each time you use the same computer to access our Site, our web servers will be notified of your visit to our Site and in turn, we have knowledge of your visit and the pattern of your usage. Some of our business partners (e.g., advertisers, tracking utilities) use cookies on our site. We have no access to or control over these cookies.
This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by Jesus Impact App and Website at https://www.jesusimpactapp.com only and does not cover the use of cookies by any third parties. Generally, we use cookies to identify you and enable us to access your Registration Information, Publishing Information - so you do not have to re-enter it; gather statistical information about usage by Users; research visiting patterns and help target advertisements based on User interests; assist our partners to track user visits to the Site and process orders, and track progress and participation in promotions. You can determine if and how a cookie will be accepted by configuring your browser's which is installed on the computer you are using to access the Site. If you desire, you can change those configurations in your browser. By setting your preferences in the browser, you can accept all cookies, you can be notified when a cookie is sent, or you can reject all cookies. If you reject all cookies by choosing the cookie-disabling function in your browser, you be required to re-enter your information on our Site more often and certain features of our Site be unavailable.
5. Minor
JI has a Connect Group designated for Teenagers. This is a place where Teenagers can post inspired biblical content, content on guidance and mentors will be available to answer questions about Christianity and journeying in their relationship with God only. Parents must give permission to Teenagers before they are allowed to join Jesus Impact platform via emailing admin@jesusimpactapp.com . Parents/Guardians can confirm their permission by emailing Jesus Impact admin with contact information of teens that they have given permission to join JI platform. Only teenagers information received from parents will be granted access to JI platform. Admin has the right to double check with parents on consent for teenagers to use platform and join Teens connect group.
6. Security Measures
We employ commercially reasonable security methods to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of information. As a Registered User, your Registration Information, can be viewed and edited through your Account which is protected by Password. We recommend that you do not divulge your Password to anyone. Our personnel will never ask you for your Password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited e-mail. If you share a computer with others, you should not choose to save your log-in information (e.g., User ID and Password) on your mobile phone/device. Remember to sign out of your Account when you have finished your session.
No data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secured. As a result, while we try to protect your information, no web site/app platform or organization including ourselves, can absolutely ensure or guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.
7. Changes to Privacy Policy
Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be communicated through us by posting an amended and restated Privacy Policy on our Site. Our posting of the amended and restated Privacy Policy will make such a new Privacy Policy immediately effective.
You agree that all Collected Information (whether or not collected prior to or after the new policy became effective) will be governed by the newest Privacy Policy then in effect. If you do not agree to the new changes in our Privacy Policy, you should contact Jesus Impact in writing (at the address set out in the "Your Feedback" section below) and specifically request that Jesus Impact return and/or destroy all copies of all or part of your Collected Information in JI possession. You may also contact us via email from any such concern.

You can access, view and edit your Registration Information and Profile information (if any) through your Account with JI app.
